| March 8: The wind was
0-10 knots, first out of the west and shifty. But in the end it was out of
the east and steady.
Yes, it came around 180 degrees in the time we were racing. Hans and Lou had
their hands full setting the courses. The first one was around the red nun
and out to the gong and return. Quite a challenge with the current running
strong and almost no wind. Seemed like Tim had a quarter mile lead going
around the weather mark, but it evaporated going downwind and five boats
rounded together at the leeward. Pete had the magic today and won all the
races. Then Tim and Mike continued to show vast improvement. |
